ABOUT YARA

Yara O’Sidhe Art is an exploration of feminism and a visual representation of self discovery, emotional turmoil and finding presence in the body. Yara’s use of the female form is rooted in feminism, aiming to evoke curiosity and self questioning within the topics of sexuality, society, social justice and spirituality. Aiming to inspire new self inquiry and open new dialogue through depictions of the nude figure, her art is an invitation to see beyond the physical body and unveil the metaphysical meaning of nudity; to be unhidden. To see into the body as a source of energy and vessel of expression. Yara’s intention is to awaken the conversation of healing through the body, reclaiming self relationship and autonomy through embodiment, physical movement and reshaping the way we view the (nude) woman body. The message behind Yara’s artwork: through the body we find presence. The body is the passageway to healing and the starting point to regaining autonomy. Yara’s art is an invitation for all to meet the body with presence, reverence and understanding. A call for humanity to witness what it means to. be. woman.
